Students often argue that having age limits on alcohol consumption just encourages risky behavior. They point to traditions in other cultures that do not prohibit drinking by youth and note that these societies do not have the kinds of problem behavior we have. Before responding to the question below, be sure to review section 3-3a in your textbook, especially the paragraph about youth drinking.
