I have my own presentation about article entitled ” I just google it” .. there is some comments and questions from some colleagues about the presentation and I have to answer their questions and responds their comments in 5 or 7 lines for each person. I will upload the presentation and the article for you to find some answers and some points for the discussion. 1. first person comment: This is the first time that I know about these theories, and through your explanation I found that they simulate my current reality sometimes, as I accidentally exposed to information sometimes through using social media, and at other times I search in various platforms for accurate information I want, and in other cases I find a lot of Contrasting information from various sources. My question is, sometimes because of exposing to contradictory information or news I leave each of these news and this is happening with me a lot. Is this mentioned in the third theory?2. Second person comment:Just I have a question about whether the study mentioned the proportion of the people who believe in each theory of the three theories?I expect if the percentage of people who think they will know the news once they are exposed to social media (the first theory), this means that their belief in the rumors will be high because they did not search for the news from reliable sources especially with the presence of fake accounts in various social media platforms. As well, are these three theories approved and valid in media studies worldwide like the known theories used in our studies and research on the media?3. Third person comment: The prevalence of news on social media significantly increases opportunities for people to encounter news incidentally as a byproduct of their online activities.Do you think that the traditional source (Newspaper, TV, Radio) will disappear and the will depend on the social media platform? For example: Nowadays, the twitter account (Oman VS Covid 19) is the official source for many government entities during the pandemic period.
