Your final writing assignment will be to choose a fiscal policy change that you believe the Governor and the members of the Legislature should make a priority in the final months of the 2020 legislative session. Your recommendation should be based on your knowledge of the State and local issues and should take into account the extraordinary events that the State, localities and federal government are facing as a result of the impact of the current economic/health crisis. Your assignment should describe the issue, the context of why you believe it is a problem, what the impacts of this problem are, and what you would do to fix or correct the issue.
